Spinal Decompression Therapy

Benefits of Decompression

The goal of targeted decompression is to apply steady, gentle distraction of the affected vertebrae, increasing the space between them. This produces several benefits:

  • It takes pressure off of the discs, bone structures, and nerves in the area. This increases the flow of blood and nutrients to the discs and promotes healing.

  • With increased space, a bulging disc may flow back into the space between the vertebrae where it belongs.

  • Misaligned joints may see an improvement in alignments, giving them greater mobility.

  • There is now increased space for spinal nerves to flow from the spine to other parts of the body.

Cleared by the FDA

Dynapro's 4-phase Treatment: Greater Results than Traditional Decompression

Phase 1

Light Therapy

Application of Light Therapy with the XP Light Pad. This pre-treatment promotes relaxation of muscle spasms, increased circulation and relief of minor muscle and joint aches.

Phase 2

Targeted Decompression

Targeted Decompression of the intervertebral disc, relieving pressure on structures that may be causing low back or neck pain.

Phase 3

Core Stabilization Exercises

Once pain has diminished, your doctor will recommend an exercise program designed to strengthen supportive core muscles and improve flexibility.

Phase 4

Nutritional Support

Muscles, tendons, ligaments and discs need proper nourishment to heal. Your doctor may recommend nutritional supplements that are formulated to provide nutrition to aide in repair of injured tissues. These supplements provide effective treatment for relief of pain, inflammation and muscle spasm.
